This Privacy Policy explains how SoundsNomad ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our sleep and relaxation audio application for iOS. SoundsNomad helps you relax and fall asleep with curated sound mixes, white noise, music, scenery videos, and sleep timers.

We designed the App to work without an account and to keep your data on your device wherever possible. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The following information is created and stored locally on your device only and is not uploaded to our servers:

• Your answers to the first-launch guide and personalization questions;
• Sound mixes you create and save, including their names and volume settings;
• Playback preferences, such as selected sounds, volumes, and sleep timer settings;
• App settings and preferences.

You can remove all of this local data at any time by deleting the App from your device.

2. Purchase and Subscription Information

All purchases in the App are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not collect, receive, or store your name, billing address, or payment card details. To determine whether your device is entitled to Pro features, the App validates the App Store purchase receipt. This validation involves only purchase and subscription status information (such as product identifier, purchase date, and expiration date) and does not personally identify you to us.

3. Usage and Diagnostic Data

To understand how the App is used and to improve it, we may collect limited, pseudonymous usage data, such as:

• A randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID);
• App version, device model, operating system version, and language/locale;
• Subscription status (whether Pro is active, without any payment details);
• Feature usage events, such as completing the first-launch guide, playing a sound or mix, setting a sleep timer, viewing the subscription screen, and purchase outcomes;
• Crash and diagnostic information.

We do not use this data to identify you personally.

4. How We Use Information

• To provide core App functionality, including playback, saved mixes, sleep timers, and personalized recommendations;
• To verify and maintain your Pro subscription entitlement;
• To understand which features are used so we can improve the App and its content;
• To diagnose and fix crashes, bugs, and performance issues;
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. What We Do Not Do

• We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the App;
• We do not sell your personal information;
• We do not collect your precise location;
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera;
• We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: vendors that help us operate the App, such as analytics and crash-reporting providers, may process pseudonymous usage data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes;
• Apple: purchase and subscription processing is handled by Apple under its own terms and privacy policy;
• Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the transferred information.

7. Data Retention

Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it or uninstall the App. Pseudonymous usage and diagnostic data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, after which it is deleted or aggregated.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we process. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because almost all App data is stored locally on your device and the usage data we process is pseudonymous, the most direct way to exercise these rights is to delete the App, which removes your local data. For any other request, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

11. International Users

The App may be used worldwide. If usage data is processed on servers located in other countries, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, where changes are material, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
